It is not only the privilege but the duty of each member of the Church to know the truth which will make him free. God is fully ‘able to do [His] … work’ (2 Nephi 27:20) and to bring all His purposes to pass, something untrue of the best-laid plans of man since we so often use our agency amiss!” (in Conference Report, Apr. All things fall into place because of this new witness for Christ and his gospel” (The Millennial Messiah [1982], 174–75). After the lengthy quotation of Isaiah 2-14 (contained in 2 Nephi 12-24), the text of the Book of Mormon indicates a clear break at 2 Nephi 25:1. “But my greatest anxiety stems from that very same commission. Among the covenants Nephi reflects on in 2 Nephi 25 at the end of the Isaiah excerpts he has included is the promise of the gathering of the House of Israel which Isaiah makes clear in his writings.
